I’ve never believed salads to be for any particular meal, diet or season. It doesn’t have to be summer, and you don’t have to be trying to lose weight for a salad to be appropriate.
I will eat salad for any meal, any day, any season. But I do admit I’m much like Elaine Benes in that I really love a big salad. Like… real big. Biggest bowl you’ve got.

This list of salads should have something for everyone:
- Light and bright spring salads
- Refreshing summer salads
- Beautiful fall salads with roasted vegetables
- Hearty salads for cold weather

- Salads for vegetarians
- Salads for vegans
- Salads for cheese-lovers
- Classic salads for people who like to keep it traditional and simple
